Amber Palace and Fortress as seen from valley floor. The Amber palace was built by the Kachhwajas when they rose in power under the Mughals. Man Singh I constructed the complex in a style to rival Mughal grandeur and opulence.

Amber as it exists now was built during the period of Man Singh and Jai Sing 1 and 2 in the 16th century.
